Zen
Take-off, turbulence, younger kids
Relaxed practice with no wipeouts. Good when you will be interrupted every minute.
A good offline game for a Thanksgiving flight is one that needs no Wi-Fi or login, restarts instantly, and plays in short bursts that fit between drinks carts and seatbelt signs; Fluxo, our one-tap gravity runner, is built that way. Below is one family's trip told through the runs it fits into, with the honest limits included.
Short runs, instant restarts, nothing to download mid-air.
The flight home for Thanksgiving is delayed forty minutes. Maya, 11, has a phone at 82% and a brother who wants the window seat. Her dad installs Fluxo while there is still airport Wi-Fi and opens it once. The first run shows a TAP TO FLIP prompt. She is on the ceiling within three seconds.
Airplane mode goes on. Nothing changes; Fluxo needs no internet. She plays Classic in the aisle queue, one run at a time, because a wipe-out followed by PLAY AGAIN takes a single tap and no menu.
Her little brother gets the phone. Zen mode: relaxed practice, no wipeouts. He flips for ten minutes, happily getting nowhere, and nobody has to explain anything.
Maya switches to Hyper, faster with double gold. She learns to re-flip mid-air to thread a gap, starts chaining near-misses and hits FEVER for the first time: six seconds of double gold and a rainbow tunnel. Every 8 points the sector changes: GOLD RUSH, then SPIKE STORM.
Phone away for landing. Her best score stays on the device, and the next run will be waiting on Thursday afternoon, when the turkey takes longer than promised.
The game fits the gaps a flight already has: queues, climbs, carts and delays.

Take-off, turbulence, younger kids
Relaxed practice with no wipeouts. Good when you will be interrupted every minute.
Boarding queues, short hops
The core run. Each wipe-out ends the burst, and PLAY AGAIN restarts in one tap.
Cruise, when you have focus
Faster speed and double gold. Hardest of the three; most rewarding once flipping feels automatic.
Family rivalry on arrival
One fixed course per day, the same for every player on the same version. Compare scores over dinner.
Zen for take-off, Classic for queues, Hyper for cruising.
One design decision we made: the bar under your score shows which sector rule is coming next. On a plane you glance away constantly, and we did not want a surprise rule change to punish someone for watching the drinks cart.
Yes. Its App Store listing says no account, no login and no internet required, so Classic, Hyper and Zen runs all work with the phone in airplane mode.
Thursday, 26 November 2026. The busiest flying days are usually the days before and the Sunday after, which in 2026 is 29 November.
Very. The TSA screened 3,133,924 people on the Sunday after Thanksgiving 2025, a single-day record, as AccuWeather reported on 2 December 2025.
Any action game uses more battery than reading. Fluxo has toggles for reduced effects, screen shake, music, sound and haptics; switching off the extras is a sensible move on a long flight. Bring a charger either way.
It is rated 4+. Zen mode is relaxed practice with no wipeouts, which suits younger players. The free version shows house-ad breaks and offers watch-an-ad revives, so check that you are comfortable with that before handing it over.
The full game is playable free, with house-ad breaks. Premium is a one-time $4.99 purchase that removes them and adds double gold, free revives and the Golden Fluxo pilot. Gold packs and a Remove Ads purchase are also listed.
Install it before Wednesday's airport rush, play one run at the gate, and keep the best score going through Sunday's flight home.
