What are the best games like Cookie Clicker for iPhone?
We found no official Cookie Clicker app in the US App Store on 3 November 2026, so iPhone players either run the browser version in Safari or choose an idle game built for touch, such as Cash Empire Clicker, which we make. The table above maps the habits you already have onto it.
Cookie Clicker is by Orteil and DashNet, free on the web since 8 August 2013 and on Steam since 1 September 2021, according to Playsaurus's press kit. Pocket Tactics (June 2024) pointed to an official Android app and said iOS was not there yet.
You can't take the cookie with you. You can take the habit.
Who Cash Empire is not for
- Cookie Clicker lore lovers. The grandmapocalypse, the dry jokes in the news ticker, the years of updates: none of that exists in a money printer. If the writing is why you play, keep the browser tab.
- Players who want zero ads and zero shop. Cash Empire's listing is marked Contains Advertising and sells optional extras. Cookie Clicker on Steam is a single $4.99 purchase.
- Desktop-first players. If you mostly play at a laptop, the Steam or web version is simply the better fit.
A Cookie Clicker player's first commute with an idle app
This is the moment we built the page for. The laptop is closed, the train is moving, and the cookie empire is stuck on a desk at home. You try the site in Safari: it loads, the cookie is there, and the store panel is a sliver you can barely hit with a thumb.
So you open an idle game made for a phone. The big tap is a printer instead of a cookie. The first building is a Hand Crank Printer instead of a cursor. A "Best next" card tells you cost, income gained and payback time, which is the spreadsheet many Cookie Clicker players keep in their head anyway. By the next stop you have bought two assets and the offline earnings are ticking.

The printer is the cookie. The IPO is the ascension. The Best next card is the spreadsheet.
Honest limits
- Ads and purchases. The App Store listing is marked Contains Advertising; the description promises no forced ads. Optional purchases, exactly as listed: Pocket Gems $0.99, Stack of Gems $1.99, Time Warp Pack $1.99, Boost Pack $2.99, Hustler Pack $2.99, Vault of Gems $4.99, Bank of Gems $9.99, Empire Vault $12.99, Founder Lifetime $14.99 and Billionaire Gems $19.99.
- Smaller in scope. 15 empire stages and 750 player levels are a lot, but Cookie Clicker has had more than a decade of additions.
- Fictional money only. Market Calls show their odds and never take cash you already have, but it is still a game: nothing cashes out.
- One design decision we made. We put payback time on screen instead of hiding it, because guessing which building pays off is the part most players hate. It makes the game easier to read and a little less mysterious.
Your three options on iPhone, compared
Cookie Clicker in Safari
The real game, free. Not made for a phone screen, so tapping small buttons is fiddly. Progress lives in that browser.
Cookie look-alike apps
Several cookie-themed clickers in the App Store come from other sellers. Read the seller name and the In-App Purchases list before you install.

Cash Empire Clicker: big tap target, offline earnings, widget, Game Center. Free, with ads and optional purchases disclosed above.
Cookie Clicker on iPhone: questions
Is Cookie Clicker on iPhone?
Not as an official app that we could find. Its makers, Orteil and DashNet, publish it free in the browser and on Steam, and Pocket Tactics (June 2024) described an official Android app while noting iOS was not there yet. Our own App Store check on 3 November 2026 found only cookie-themed clickers from other developers.
Can I play Cookie Clicker in Safari on my iPhone?
The browser version does load on phones, but Pocket Tactics notes it is not optimized for mobile, so buttons are small and menus are fiddly.
How do I tell if a Cookie Clicker app is official?
Check the seller name under the app title. The official game is by Orteil and DashNet and published by Playsaurus. A different seller means a look-alike.
What is the Cash Empire version of ascension?
The IPO Reset. You trade your run for Investors, which add permanent bonuses, and the screen shows your multiplier now versus after before you confirm.
Is Cash Empire Clicker free?
Free to download with no launch paywall and no account. Optional one-time purchases range from Pocket Gems at $0.99 to Billionaire Gems at $19.99, and the listing is marked Contains Advertising.
Does Cash Empire keep earning when the app is closed?
Yes. The listing says assets keep producing while you are away, with a summary when you come back, and a Home Screen widget shows what was printed.
Make it a habit with Cash Empire Clicker
A few taps on the commute, a return summary at lunch. Keep the cookies for the laptop.
